Z-man absolutely LOVES his hair, he does not want it cut, I think he likes the attention he gets but he also loves to look in the mirror & admire himself lol. We too love his hair but are, or shall I say WERE, always trying new products to help tame it. My Mom even went as far as spending mega $$ on some infomercial products that claimed to help, I give them a little credit, they did help a little but did not last all day or even half the day. I knew that I couldn't be the only one out there with this problem!

Awhile back one of my AWESOME readers wrote to me, I'm sure after seeing Z's nappy fro, about Beija-Flor Naturals. She claimed it was the BEST stuff for mixed/biracial hair! So I pitched them & the AWESOME mixtress behind Beija Flor Naturals sent us a bottle of Creme Brulee for Kinks, Curls and Coils (8oz) & a jar of Hemp Buttercream for Hair and Body (8oz)! Now because I am so excited about this I am just going to get to the before & afters!
Before
After

Z-Man LOVES the Hemp Buttercream the most because I let him do it himself. This product is not only great for moisturizing & detangling hair it's also awesome for dry skin & eczema!

About Hemp Buttercream:
Gentle enough for babies bottoms, penetrating for dry cracked man hands, and a detangling moisturizing treat for dry kinky to curly hair. Can it be true? Yup, join the green revolution!!
The Beija-Flor Naturals hemp buttercream is a luxurious concoction inspired by The Mixtress' time in Berkeley California. Hemp is naturally grown organic without pesticides and is a nutrient powerhouse rich in Omega 6, 3, and 9. Goes on smooth, absorbs instantly and lasts all day. This nourishing blend is guaranteed to leave both skin and hair buttery soft and hydrated.

My favorite is the Creme Brulee it is SO awesome for the kinks & curls in his hair! It defines each curl & hydrates it so he doesn't have a big dry mop of hair on his head. The Creme Brulee absorbs instantly & doesn't leave his hair feeling greasy like some other brands we've tried.

About Creme Brulee:
This product is for the happy and nappy, cute and coily, wild and wavy, kinky, curly...well you get the picture! No matter what your ethnic background, if the hair that sits on top of your head can be described as such you know that highly textured hair in all its glory tends to be dry, brittle and prone to breakage.

Our Creme Brulee is an everyday leave-in moisturizer with ingredients hand selected for beautiful healthy hair. The formula starts with an infusion of healing herbs such as rosemary, burdock and Marshmallow root. Murumuru Butter, Aloe butter, Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Grapeseed oil add shine, moisture and protection.

So what we do is first apply the Hemp Buttercream to help detangle his hair, making it easier to brush out, then apply the Creme Brulee into sections & rake through it with my hands & wallah beautiful hair for my little man. The results speak for themselves in the pictures above! These products are awesome& I will be purchasing from the mixtress on a regular basis.

Aloha Friday - Babies & Piercings

Welcome to Aloha Friday! For any of you who do not know what Aloha Friday is...In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that people take it easy and look forward to the weekend (sound familiar?). So, we take it easy on Friday blog posts by sticking to just one quick question that surfers-by can answer with just a quick response themselves.

This week I want to know:
Would or did you pierce your daughters ears? If so when?

My Mom asked yesterday when I was going to pierce Dot's ears & I honestly haven't even thought of it!

Be sure to check out all of my giveaways listed over on the right!
