I Cherish Planet Earth Review & Giveaway

CLOSED!!!
As most of you know we strive to be as green as possible around here, but teaching the boys this doesn't come easy. They ask questions and test their boundaries for the most part. We were sent the I Cherish Planet Earth book & board game to review. I am loving this! It teaches the kiddos about saving the Earth & what can be better than that!? Now it's not only mama & daddy harping after them to shut out the lights, turn the water off, etc but a book AND game!

"The “I Cherish Planet Earth” memory game and book set have been given Dr. Toy’s “Best Green Toy of 2009” award, a distinction that sets it apart from the mass of other playthings manufactured around the globe each year. The annual award gives recognition to novel green toys produced and marketed in an eco-friendly way with safe and natural materials. The awards showcase high-quality options available to green-minded consumers, encouraging sustainable living practices."

"FocusBloom proudly presents I Cherish Planet Earth our first product. It is a game . . . a book . . . and more!
• Pair-matching game – 48 pieces with cotton drawstring pouch
• Full-color picture book, A Love Letter to Our Planet
• Affirmations• Game extensions for all ages
• Recycled paper, vegetable oil based ink, made in USA

I Cherish Planet Earth is about appreciating and preserving nature and our planet. It is a celebration of Earth’s life and beauty. It is an inspiration to learn about and care for all life, from the tiniest flower to the greatest forest. It is a natural addition to any go-green program, at home, neighborhood, school, or other community.
For centuries, pair-matching games have been the perfect tool for sharpening concentration and short-term memory in people of all ages. FocusBloom™ takes a giant leap forward by combining the game with affirmations, a book, and inspiring visuals. Affirmations offer a powerful means for creating a lofty, focused mindset. The picture book, A Love Letter to Our Planet, helps build meaningful understanding. The game extensions are well considered and offer the opportunity for communication, creative self-expression, and action."

As you can see the boys really enjoyed the book and the game. T has now been asking ways in which we can help the planet which is something he has never done before *wipes tear from eye*

My son is only 9 months old but I try to teach him by example ways to love and cherish our planet by cloth diapering him, breastfeeding, recycling etc. Hopefully my example passes on to other kids around me (and adults!)

I will teach my daughter to cherish our planet by doing simple things like turning off the water when you brush your teeth as water is precious and walk if you can, don't take the car.

Number one thing that my grandma taught me was to NEVER litter. Litter disgusts me. When Emma is old enough she will know not to throw her trash on the ground, and if she sees trash, she should pick it up and throw it away.

we use cloth and I taught my 3 year old to call disposables "yucky plastic diapers". We recycle, grew a big garden at our old house and had a composter. I miss that!

I teach my kids to cherish the earth by letting them sort and recycle our aluminum, cardboard, and paper products. I also teach them about electricity and to unplug or turn off products when not in use. Thanks.

We do the usual stuff- recycle, talk about not wasting water/electricity, talk about how littering makes the earth dirty and hurts the animals.

I teach my kids to cherish the earth by explaining why we recycle and cloth diaper. We also talk about repurposing what we can and not wasting energy sources! What a neat game!

My son's an animal lover, so we explain how things impact their environment. It's a great way to show him how we can help or hurt things around us.
